Paint Kart
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
When I was a kid my friend owned a Super Nintendo. I didn't. After playing Super Mario Kart, I used to go home, turn on our PC, and pretend to play Super Mario Kart in MS Paint by dragging the paintbrush tool around a top-down version of the track. This is an attempt to recreate that.
Race a line around the track. Arrows to accelerate, brake, and turn.
'r' to restart on a randomly selected track.
Press '2' to spawn a second player. w, a, s, d to control this player.
(In 2017 I am challenging myself to make 50 little videogames to get more familiar with the tools. I make no guarantee that any of the games are good, but that's not really the point. This is game #14 of 50.)

I did something very similar when I was a kid, although my maps were bigger and you were supposed to zoom in. This inspires me to do the same with my maps! Too bad I only have the Paint maps, not the one made in Paint Brush.
i've had this on my to-play list for ages and i finally did it! it's wayyyyyy harder than i imagined. i think the concept is incredible and extermely inspiring. although i do wish it was easier to control lol. here's an imgur album of my races. https://imgur.com/a/lSYbo81
